3. Leverage image recommendations for email forms and push notifications content.

Work hours calendar supports multiple recurrences in Dynamics 365 Field Service Schedule Board

Hello Everyone,




Today I am going to share new feature which has been included in Dynamics 365 Field Service Mobile App.








Let's get's started.




Up to now we have only one work hour recurrence per resource, with this add new capability you can add multiple recurrences.



This is the value added capability for resource scheduling to meet your business needs while adjusting needs of  your workforce for employee retention and job satisfaction.





Advantages of the multuple recurrences are:


Adding the recurrences over a date range overwrites any previous recurrences settings.


With this update, dispatchers can now add as many recurrences as they want.



The newest work hours entry on a given day gets used.



Now you can:


1. Add multiple recurrences within a single day to represent different instances of recurring shift work, like morning, afternoon, evening shifts in a single day with different resources.


2. Have  overlapping recurrences within a week like a recurrence for Monday and Wednesday and a recurrence for Tuesday. Previously the Tuesday recurrences would have deleted the other entries. Now they can coexist alongside each other.



3. Input work hour events in different time zones, which is helpful for workers who travel. Previously the calendar supported only one timezone across all work hour calendar events.



This work hour calendar update is the first phase in the broader flexible resource location work scope.









In upcoming phases Microsoft adds  territory and start/end location entities to the work hour calendar.
allowing dispatchers to easily set up an adhoc or recurrence.






Note:  Flexible resource locations your opertion with support for staffing your team in different locations on different days, based on customer demand, you may need to send resources to different area. these may be local area or outside the country.





In some cases, resources may travel to remote area once a month and perform work in that area, or perhaps your team travels from customer location to customer location without having a home base.





May be resources pick up their parts at the warehouse every wednesday but start from their homes on other days, with date effective location support you can meet these variant location based demands, interacting with an API that allows you to change your resources location. This feature enables settings start and end locations by technicians daily by service managers, dispatchers or even the employees themselves.

Compress Image uploads from mobile devices Dynamics 365 Field Service Mobile App

Hello Everyone,









Today I am going to share my views on compressing image uploads from mobile devices on Dynamics 365 Field Services.















Let's get's started.







Dynamics 365 Field Service Mobile App - Field Engineers can take several images of assets and customer sites using high - quality cameras  built into the device. 




These images are large often exceeding 5 MB in size.





When large images are uploaded in Field Service Mobile, It can take a long time as consume  network bandwith and server storage space.




High quality images are not required for the scenario and a compressed version is sufficient while saving resources.







From the Field Service Mobile, a technician will be able to take advantage of compression during image upload to reduce network bandwidth and conserve Dataverse storage.




The app will perform the necessary compression and it ensures that the compressed images are uploaded to the server.

What is Power Platform Advisor?



Power Platform Advisor guide to personalized best practice recommendations on your Power Platform tenant.



It analyzes your Power Platform resources and environments and offers insights and inline actions to enhance security, reliability and overall low code health.



With Power Platform Advisor:


1. Get proactive, personalized best practices recommendations.
2. Improve the overall health of your Power Platform tenant.
3. Take inline actions or automate actions using cloud flows.



In preview will focus on Security and Operational Efficiency.




So Advisor makes it easy to clean up unused apps, restrict overshared apps, assign owners for abandoned apps, 




We can see these recommendations see the individual resources involved and evaluate and take inline actions.






Power Platform Advisor offers capabilities:





Top recommendations: Visible on the Power Platform admin center homepage and in the Advisor page that can be accessed from the left navigation menu.



Actionable Recommendations for impacted apps and resources.




Automated Actions:  using cloud flows extensibility and the new Power Platform Admin v2 connector(preview)..




Weekly Focus Card in Teams:  Highlights the top 2 recommendations based on impact,



Share Recommendations: Feature for team collaboration or to delegates actions.








Power Platform Advisor is accessible to all  tenant admins in the Power Platform admin center and customers with at least one Managed environment in the tenant.




Its just started now and many more features from Power Platform Advisor.





Note: In order to activate the Power Platform Advisor you need to enable the Tenant Analytics from the settings.

When you login into Power Platform Admin Center and on the left handside you can see the Advisor(Preview).

Field Technicians and managers can create, view and manage work orders within Microsoft 365 applications, including Microsoft Outlook by harnessing the power of generative AI to deliver accelerated work order creation.













This new feature can allow work order creation with Copilot in Outlook.   The AI - based copilot can assist with extracting relevant details from emails and filling in data to the work order form based on the text in the email thread.

Today I am going to share some information regarding the new feature AI Powered work order recap for Dynamics 365 Field Service Mobile App Users.

Normally field service technician have a day long work orders while there on the field. They don't know what are the important pieces of information required for the jobs they are going to complete it.




With the new AI Powered work order recap for Dynamics 365 Field Service Mobile App Users:



Copilot in Field Service helps field technicians using Field Service Mobile App Save time and work more efficiently by bringing disparate pieces of information together and providing a concise summary of a work order in the Mobile App.






So Field Technicians get the option to generate a summarized recap of their work orders on demand within the mobile application.









This recap provides them with meaningful context of the work they are about to perform.




It can include notes, diagnostic information, key events in the work order lifecycle and recommendations.




So the work order recaps includes references for generated summary and users can regenerate it based on changes on the work order.

Resource Scheduling using Single Resource Optimization considers new requirements in Dynamics 365 Field Service

Today i am going to show what are the benefits of Single Resource Optimization in Dynamics 365 Field Service Scheduling.

Sometimes disruptions and changes in a resource schedule can cause that schedule to become unbalanced.




Single resource optimization allows a dispatcher to automatically re-optimize the resource's schedule.




This is the new feature looks to fill in gaps in a resource's schedule using the organization's optimization goals.





New feature details:





Disruptions or exceptions during the day that affects a resource's schedule are fairly common:




1. A technician finishes a booking earlier then estimated, and now has idle before the next booking.

2. A technician is stuck in traffic and can't make it to the next booking on time.

3. A customer cancels an appointment at the last minute, and now there's gap in the resource's schedule.














Dispatchers need an efficient way to fix such disruptions. This include re-optimizing exisiting bookings to make sure there's no overlaps, or to schedule new work to cover idle time, or to optimize travel time.







This feature expands on our capabilities to optimize the schedule for a specific resource,  allowing single resource optimization to pull in additional requirements to fill gaps in the technicians schedules, create a more optimized route, or address high priority requirements.

This new feature enables scheduling efficiencies and accuracies by optimizing job requirements that span multiple days automatically.







A 40 hour work order across an entire work week where the same field technician is expected to perform more detailed work at the same location each day.









So a service requirement can be scheduled across multiple days and weeks.






Dispatchers can schedule  multi-day work manually or by using the schedule assistant.





The resource scheduling optimization add-in for Dynamics 365 Field Service now supports multi-day requirements optimization too.





The system assigns requirements that span multiple days to a resource based on the breakdown of the underlying requirements details.

The new schedule board is faster and delivers significant usability improvements.





It's the foundation for new capabilities for multiday scheduling and intelligent interactions.





Note: The settings that enables the use of the legacy schedule board is retired, and all users move to the new schedule board experience by default.








The new schedule board is faster, with the significant usability and accessibility improvements, and also 
lays the foundation for new capabilities for multiday scheduling and intelligent interactions.





The legacy schedule board control is still included in the URS(Universal Resource Sechudling Solution.






Note: This feature gets enabled automatically for all schedule board users with no action required.

Get Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service scheduling recommendations in the Outlook add-in

Hello Everyone,



Today I am going to share new feature which allows Dynamics 365 Field Service Scheduling recommendations in the Microsoft 365 Outlook Add-in.












Let's get's started.




So Finding and scheduling the right frontline worker can be a lengthy mutli-step process.





An assistant recommends wokers and time slots for the job, saving dispatchers time needed to validated matched resources.






Frontline managers and dispatchers can get recommendations to choose technicians or frontline workers to schedule work orders based on attributes like availability, skills or expertise.





The scheduling assistant based on the resource scheduling solution is now available in the Outlook add in, which is part of the Field Service integrations for Microsoft 365 applications, The feature helps dispatchers schedule, reschedule, on resource availability, skills customer promised time windows, customer location promixity and business unit.







You can download the Dynamics 365 Field Service for Outlook from  here 









Click on Get it now and then open the Dynamics 365 Field Service for Outlook add-in.



Sign in to the app and change the environment you would like to connect with.




You can add the Field Service to favorites.



Select the View > View Settings

Select Mail > Customize Actions

Under Message Surface > Select Field Service (Preview)

Select Save and Close settings.



Note: Field Service icon will be displayed in all your emails.







Regarding the scheduling suggestions or recommendations you can see the assistant recommends like below screen shot.













Note: To access this feature you need to be in the region Microsoft released into Microsoft Azure geographic area.

Power Automate Flow to Send Emails from azure service bus queue to users

Hello Everyone,




Today I am going to show how to create Power Automate Flow to send emails from Azure Service Bus Queue to users.











Let's get's started.





Create a Cloud Flow.




Connection reference Service Bus Flow_AzureServiceBus




Look for emails from queue  and select it.




Then select queue from dropdown and Queue Type = Main.






Choose the format of the data - Parse JSON










Select the content - Body


Schema in JSON FORMAT.





Select Add a new row.










Fill all the columns from the email table refer to above image.



Then Settings for Send an email(V2)












Finally when ever a message is received at the Azure Service Bus Queue then this flow will trigger and an email will be sent to receipt.

How to capture azure service bus queue and send email from Dynamics 365 Marketing

Hello Everyone,




Today I am going to share my thoughts on how to capture azure service bus queue and send email from Dynamics 365 Marketing.










Let's get's started.





Suppose there is a requirement to send emails from Dynamics 365 Marketing by capturing queues from Azure Service Bus Queue.


Where would queues coming from ? They will come from a Web App.





How do you do that integration of Azure Service Bus with Dynamics 365 Marketing.






Certainly! To capture Azure Service Bus Queue messages and send emails from Dynamics 365 Marketing, you can follow these steps:









1. Azure Service Bus Setup:


Set up an Azure Service Bus Queue.


Obtain the connection string for the Service Bus.




2.Power Automate Flow:


Create a Power Automate Flow.


Use the "When a message is received in a queue(Azure Service Bus)" trigger .


Configure the connection using the Service Bus Connection String.


Define actions to process the message, e.g extract relevant information.






3. Dynamics 365 Marketing Integration:









Add an action in the Power Automate flow to create or update a record in Dynamics 365 Marketing.



Use the "Create a record" or "Update a record" action based on your requirements.


Populate the necessary fields with data from the Azure Service Bus message.



4. Send Email in Dynamics 365 Marketing:


Add another action to the Power Automate flow to trigger the email sending process in Dynamics 365 Marketing.



You may use the "Send an Email(V2)" action or a similar one depending on your Dynamics 365 Marketing version.




5. Authenticate and Permissions:


Ensure that the authentication between Azure Service Bus, Power Automate, and Dynamics 365 Marketing is set up securely.



Grant the necessary permissions to the service accounts or users involved in the integration.



6. Testing and Monitoring:


Test the end to end flow to ensure that messages from the Azure Service Bus Queue trigger the desired actions in Dynamics 365 Marketing.



Implement monitoring and logging to track the flow execution and handle any errors.




By following these steps, you can create a seamless integration between Azure Service Bus Queue and Dynamics 365 Marketing, allowing you to capture messages and trigger email sending processes.

Build new segments using Copilot in Dynamics 365 Customer Insights

Hello Everyone,






Today I am going to show how to build new segment using Query Assist in Dynamics 365 Customer Insights.











Let's get's started.






When you start creating a new segment, you need to define three things:












1.Name of the segment: All contacts who opted in.




2.Select a target audience: Contacts, Lead









3.Query assist: Can give you suggestions to pick options from them too.






It describes who you wish to target and Copilot will create the segments for you.





Then click on Create.





Then you can continue with the segment creation.
